It has been so long since I last updated the blog … The Zeest is still on and we’re working on tons of surprises for you guys. We have lots and lots to tell, starting from some new entries in our project ranging to some gossip … Who’s ready? Are you ?!
As you may have known, Skip was a solo musician to start with, but now has some support with him. Umair, also a very good friend, is now the official member of Zeest Band, acting as guitarist and co-vocalist. He’s a very talented person from Hyderabad … Here goes a list of people behind Zeest.
Skip:THE man guy behind Zeest! The evil brain! The master mind! .. Yup! I’m talking about Mr.Saqib. This not-so-down-to-earth guy can make one happy at any time of the day [-or night
]. His random “egg-jactly” makes me happy .. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I truely like this guy and enjoy everytime I speak with him. I must add the fact that he really is a celebrity .. & that too a hot one.
p.s. Skip acts like a celebrity on orkut .. lmao !
Umair: He recently joined the Zeest as official member and will be on guitars and Co-vocals. His hometown is in Hyderabad, Pakistan. A Mechanical engineering student from NED Engineering University in Karachi, We have our hopes high and hope to have an amazing time with him. (More will be added about him soon)
Sohail: Sohail Bhai was the first person related to Zeest who I personally spoke with. He’s very down to earth, yet comes up with cheesy jokes every now and then. If it weren’t for Sohail, I wouldn’t be sitting here typing this up … So yeah, if you like me, thank him … And if you don’t like me, well, too bad ! Being quite older than most of us, he’s more like a brotherly figure. As far as Zeest is concerned, Sohail is the communication manager. Did I mention the fact that’s Skip’s older brother? I didn’t ?! .. Well, BINGO !! He is !!
……..And now, Zeest would like to credit some people behind them for helping Zeest…
Khalid Butt: Yes he is the famous & real ‘Khalid Butt’ whose name is used in Aaj TV’s ‘4 Man Show’ & will again be referred on ‘Buttmania’ . He is the composer, guitarist, keyboardist, producer & key band member of famous “Razm” and “ex-Northern Alliance”. His influence in Karachi underground music has been very crucial; Khalid Butt played a vital role in producing Zeest’s debut album.
Sushubh: I am Sushubh. I am based in Gurgaon in India and I have been a fan of the Sutta song ever since I heard the song the first time.
If I am to believe my blog, I heard the first time on September 10 in 2005. That’s a pretty long time. The song I believe was made popular by some IITians in India who spread it around their intranet.
I suggest Zeest to start a blog for their fans to directly interact with them as a lot of false stories were circulating related to the song on the web.
Being a smoker, I can easily relate to the song. I have been fortunate enough to be not in a position where I am made to leave the Sutta but that might happen in the near future.
I listen to the song pretty regularly. It’s on my PC, its in my car’s stereo system and it is even my mobile phone which doubles as a mp3 player.
I wish Zeest all the best for his future and I do hope that the Zeest make it big time and do some stage shows in India as well. I would definitely go and hum along… Sutta Na Mila!
