Well at least something is good in the subcontinent that moral Police is still active in India
, First it was the interview conducted by India’s leading Newspaper The Hindustan Times which was blocked and didn’t published, instead a small column appeared titled ‘Songs Mom Won’t Listen To‘ dated April 1st, 2006.
Later it was half an hour Star News show which contains a telephonic interview and a video of live jam session specially made for Star News, it also didn’t telecast at all.
Crap, I was *so* looking forward to that.
Perhaps they could upload the audio/video somewhere?
If so, I’m willing to host it. Just mail smoker@sood.net.in and I’ll put it up
put the video on youtube and it would rock the internet. forget the media in india.
You could host the video/audio anywhere and then put up an RSS (in media rss or ituines rss format) file here on your blog page. I could help you to host it or do it on Revver.com and you will make some money also for your content. You could then submit it to all podcast and video portals such as Genwi.com.
moral policing is gaining momentum in India…. which sometimes gets overwhelmed by certain religion and community based organization……
but basically is nothing but curbing one right to freedom of speech and expression, also
what will the moral mongers will do by not letting the interview published when everyone in their homes, in pubs, hostels , listen to this song in full volume

Hi guys!
well yes i did thought of all these things like uploading videos and audios in a website so that people can easily download it, or upload the live performance videos through a streaming video etc. but right now im looking to release my work in a proper manner because there are lot of things I’ve observed like no matter what I’ll do to promote my work ppl will be confused on relating the song to the actual artist, like initially due to lack of knowledge ppl thinks BC SUTTA sung by some IIT students, now mistakenly they thinks GMD is my composition, and I have to clarify there misunderstandings, so through this process artist didnt gets the actual credit.
In home recording controlling noise and different technical errors is quite difficult. studio recording are very expensive too, plus there are many other factors which are restaining me from uploading the songs rite now…
so i wanted to release them in an actual proper album release so that i could stand in the mainstream . but if i failed then no doubt I’ll do the same thing as mentioned and adviced by u guys….n e way thanks for your never ending love and support…and will keep you updated with latest news

Hey,
Sutta is doing really well. It’s been ages since it was released but people just can’t get tired of the song. No disc party is complete without atleast 2 re-runs on sutta. It’s amazing to see everyone scream “BC MC” in the end in unison. I’m in chandigarh studying in st. johns, and i just wanted to tell you what an amazing song you’ve composed. Laurels man…
And hey, the song’s a hit with the girls too lol they don’t even mind the BC MC lmao
Cheers,
Bilawal
yaar ur song was really awesome.

Hi, I am from Hindustan Times (digital edition) and I must say I am really sorry to know that my own newspaper pretends to have “standards” of vocabulary when the nation it represents does not have any (MC/BC is so common, as though you’re saying “hey”).
Anyway, I stumbled upon BC Sutta just a few hours ago and since then have been listening to it on loop.
Congratus on belting out such a hard-hitting number. I guess I am fortunate that my parents never forbade me to smoke
but dude, the song’s damned representative of the plight of almost all smokers! Really cool stuff. Cheers, mate.
hey guys @ zeest! ur song BC.Sutta was awesome & it is funny as well. i can say it is one song which can get a person from bad mood to good mood but only on one condition “he should know hindi”
zeest – u people r just awesome
Well we have youtube if we can get a copy of the interview we can upload it there ..
MORAL POLICE CAN KISS OUR HAIRY ASS
Kudos to the singer
Bush and the Republicans were not protecting us on 9-11, and we aren’t a lot safer now. We may be more afraid due to george bush, but are we safer? Being fearful does not necessarily make one safer. Fear can cause people to hide and cower. What do you think? Why has bush turned our country from a country of hope and prosperity to a country of belligerence and fear.
Our country is in debt until forever, we don’t have jobs, and we live in fear. We have invaded a country and been responsible for thousands of deaths.
We have lost friends and influenced no one. No wonder most of the world thinks we suck. Thanks to what george bush has done to our country during the past three years, we do!
Your song balaatkari is awesome man
@sudeep
This is exactly what he said. Balaatkaari is not his song. Its by an Indian student at Pantnagar Univ along with some IIT kanpur guys. I know, because I know them personally.
@skip
awesome man. Awesome. you let us have a voice. Even though balaatkari and GMD are not your songs, you made them possible. Kudos, hats off and what not. You changed everything mate.
Hi Zeest
im u r big fan but i cant hav ur all songs ne way
good luck for u
U R Great
Dude, Sutta has become a religion amoung the youth culture in India, not to mention including girls.
Times are changing.. we need a change, thanks to your band… we are waiting for more.
dude ur gaand mein danda re is too awesome.. ma fren got inspired and he made a kannada version(local language) and it came out too well and is too famous amongst our frens. sutta reveals up ur creativity n courage as using slang seems to be a taboo. but u stand as a testimonial to the fact that “FORTUNE ALWAYS FAVOURS THE BRAVE” so u r famous n this prevails for ever… keep rocKING
